Season Seven: Chicken

Quark presented the world premiere of Chicken, written by Memphis’s own Keegon Schuett and directed by Chase Ring, June 6-22, 2025.

During the COVID pandemic, a straight couple’s lives are upended when the husband begins to think he may be bisexual. With the wife’s blessing, they bring in a young man for the husband to experiment with, and things go wildly awry from there. Chicken takes place entirely via Zoom meetings.

Chicken received glowing praise from audiences, and received Ostrander nominations for Best Lighting (Louisa Koeppel), Leading Actor (Cary Vaughn), Leading Actress (Tamara Wright), Best Direction (Chase Ring), and Best Play.
