Season Seven: A Body of Water

Quark’s production of Lee Blessing’s A Body of Water wan February 21 through March 9, 2025 in the First Congo theater. The show was popular with audiences and even sold out multiple performances.

The plot:

A man and woman awake one morning in a beautiful, but isolated house. There’s only one problem: they seem to have lost their memories. They can’t remember their names or their relationship or where they are or how they got there. As they try to figure these things out, another woman arrives. She has information for them—but do they want to hear it? Do they want to believe it?

A Body of Water is a darkly comic, existential mystery play, with twists and turns that will leave you laughing, guessing and gasping until the very last second.

The stellar cast included Anne Marie Caskey, Barclay Roberts and Lena Wallace Black—all of them Ostrander-winning actors and some of Memphis’s favorite performers.

Directed by Tony Isbell
